The ranch has come a long way since the early 1880s when great-grandmother, Anna Ramsland, and her husband, Ben Ramsland, squatted in the Ramsland Hills near Almont, ND, now known as the TL Ranch. After the death of Ben Ramsland, Anna married Theodore Larson. Together, they raised beef cattle and horses for the US Calvary along with 10 children.
